Dreams

I find dreams very fascinating. Many say that there are meanings and reasons to the things in your dreams, but how can you be sure? Dreams are like your own movie in your head when you fall asleep, but some may not be as pleasent as others. I think dreams can mean all sorts of things, sometimes the things in your dreams can be bad and some can be good. All in all, dreams are awesome.

WOAH! :)



Photography has always been one of my passions, and I really like to take pictures! It's just fun to take pictures, its like a moment or like a movie in your head when you see a bunch of them. I just think pictures are a way to a express yourself in a non-violence and fantastic way! :) I love photography. :]

Don't you dare eat the marshmallow!!

Motivational speaker, Joachim de Posada, has done a experiment on kids with marshmallows. He left the kids in the room alone for 15 minutes and told them not to eat the marshmallow and if they didn't that they would get another marshmallow. Two out of three kids ate the marshmallows but the others didn't because they would wonder around the room and control themselves. 15 years later, they followed up on the kids and soon discovered that, kids who did each the marshmallows were not as successful as the kids who didn't eat the marshmallows. WOW! Who wouldna know? So the message really is, if you have more self control then you will in fact be, more successful in life.

Steve Jobs

I believe Steve jobs was a wonderful man who had a lot of intellegence and a lot of creativity. He took technology to the next level and he made the world a happier in some cases. technology has come a far way with Steve Jobs and we wouldnt have ipods, macs, ipads, etc, without Steve Jobs and I am very thankful for him.

Be Childish-Adora Svitak

Adora Svitak is 12 years old and she has a message for everyone. Her idea is that not all kids are childish, and sometimes we are underestimated. She believes that adults should listen rather then  kids listen to adults because we are the future, and we should be better then the generation before us. I agree with her because often life can get boring and dull because there isnt enough creativity and change because children have a lot of energy and spunk but often dont get to share it. So I think it would be beneifal if we gave children a teach and share.

Creativity and the wonders of it

Ken Robertson specializes in creativity, and he thinks our regular academics aren't good enough. He thinks that our basics like math, science, language arts, etc aren't teaching us all we need. He believes we need more creativity in our school days and that the constant daily routine is turning us into something we aren't. We need different classes that explore into our interests and what we like to do. I 100% agree with him, and I go to a school what does support that so that is nice but not so much for regular highschools and middle schools. I think someone should change that though because like Ken said, "We don't want everyone to turn into college professors."

A Cat

Today in my class Blog it, we watched Unlikely Friends, a video about a dog ,Bella, and an Elephant, Tarra , who become bestfriends. Who woulda guessed? It made me think about friends, and how they come in all shapes and sizes.


Of course people can change your life, but have you ever thought about an animal changing you? Although they may not talk or do things humans can do, they can be your close, close, friend. Think about it, they won't tell your secrets, they won't care if you chnage in front of them, they don't mind if you act like an complete weirdo, they just love you for you. Sometimes if your feeling blue, they will come and comfort you.

I would know, I had a friend like that, my cat, named after a vodka called, Stoli. He was a great cat, he could fetch, he could pur louder then a motorboat,and he just could just always be there for you. I miss him, but I know he'll share his greatness with other cats in cat wonderland.

Haircut

I got a haircut. I don't know if I like it, but anyways, I got a haircut.

Friends

Everyone has friends, whether you know it or not. Some are crazy, calm, and just plain random, they are who they are. Friends don't always have to be people, you can have a cat or a dog who is your best friend, lets just hope not. All I'm trying to say is, friends are there for you, and you have to find the people who won't back stab you or leave your side. Friends are wonderful, they can make you smile when you are down, they can give you advice when needed, they can do the simplest things that can just make your day.  When you need to get away from the fam, friends are the ones you can go to, and they just love you for who you are!

Teeth.

Everyone has different teeth, some crooked, perfectly straight, small, big, some even missing. I've always had a gap. People used to tell me how cute it was, but to me it was the most unattractive thing teeth could have, well, atleast on me. Sometimes when I'm just bored and have nothing to do, I go on random sites and and can't help notice all of these people with their flawless smiles, all pearly and white, a smile you could die for. Teeth are something some people don't even notice or care about, but to me, I could'nt even smile because I hated my teeth SO much. Reguarly I would nag my mom about braces, over and over. Tuesday, I finally I got them on, and I can tell you, they are PAINFUL. That's not the point. I just think everyone is beautiful in their own way and you shouldn't ever feel like your not beautiful or loved. What you were born with makes you, well, you. A simple gap in your teeth shouldn't make you hate yourself in any way, shape or form. I just realized that when they put all this metal in my mouth. Everyone is born with something they probably don't like, but to someone else, they love every part of it and you.

Rediscover The Joy Of Learning

I have gone to JCOS for quite some time in my life and I personally think it's a great school. To me it's like your family is welcoming you right when you walk in the door. I moved schools in 6th grade and started attending Denver School of the Arts. It wasn't my gig and I soon got bored of the school. In 7th grade I moved back to the wonderful Jeffco Open because I wasn't happy with the education I was getting at DSA. Soon, I rediscovered the joy of learning. I became much happier and wasn't as stressed anymore. That's when I soon realized the joy of learning! :D

My Blog

I never really ever decided a topic for my blog. It is pretty much a website were I can write what I want to share; my stories , photos, music, feelings, etc, and just hope people like it. I like blog it class, I think it can help you open you up to the interent and the world of blogging. The internet and technology has come a long way, so I'm gload that blogging is something that has come of it. Some things that you will most likely read about and find on my blog:

Animals- They are such a big part of today and they can totally change your life.

Food- Its everywhere and is a great thing we have. Without, we probably wouldnt be alive.

Photography- I love it.

Technology- It's everywhere and its a HUGE part of mordern day life.

Neil Pasricha "1000 awesome things"

Neil Pasricha's "1000 Awesome things" is awesome. He is very inspirational and I think that everyone should listen to him. He was having a rough bump in this life, but he got the idea to make a blog, "1000 Awesome Things." Its' about the awesome things in life that we sometimes don't often think about and cherish. In my blog, I'm going to try and write about awesome things in life and share my life. I look up to him now and I believe that if everyone follows what he says, you'll have a good time. :)

Plural Nouns and possessive nouns

I took a quiz on the plural noun/possessive noun, although I did get 9 out 10, it was still pretty confusing. After doing a few I started to get the hang of it. When writers are writing nouns, they need to remember to look and see if it is a plural noun, if it is, they need to place the apostrophe in the right place. In blogs there are going to possessive nouns everywhere, It really just depends on the story! All in all, when you come across a possessive noun, you need to remember to place the correct apostrophe in the right place and in general have a fun time writing! -

Why should we know who Mena Trott is?

Mena Trott is the creator of blogging and the girl who really made it exist. We should know who she is because she is a very important to the blogging industires and people who follow her. Her point is that blogging is for anyone and everyoine should share their feelings.

Why does Mena believe blogging is important?

She believes blogging is important so the world around you can know whats going on and so that your family someday can go back and learn about you.

What are your thoughts about your role as a blogger after watching this?

My thoughts are that I should blog more and check out other peoples blogs so I can find new stuff.

The Fragment Quiz

I think the quiz was kind of waste of time, I think all quizzes are personally, but it also helped me understand fragment.Writers should remember to think when writing or you might miss something important in your sentences. A run on sentence is a sentence that keeps going on and on and on and never stops and never has a period after they have written enough for the sentence, they are really annoying because sometimes you get lost and then you get very angry at the person who is writing so badly and sometimes run on sentences can go on forever and ever.<-- An example of a run on sentence. Washed out the clothes and put them on the sink<- example of a fragment. I think I did pretty good on the quiz, although I did get 5 wrong because my mouse kept freaking out and clicking on the wrong one. :) Ta Ta for now!
